Our other digital solutions include our prepopulated online mortgage application and customer portal that streamline the whole mortgage process, providing access to information and reducing the touch time for customers.

Unlike many established financial services businesses we recruit and train advisers from outside of the industry, giving many young people the opportunity to enter an industry they may have otherwise not have considered or been able to access as a career. There’s great potential for colleagues to progress upwards through their career and to move throughout the business into different departments. Roles we often recruit for include Mortgage Advisers, Protection Advisers, Case Managers, IT specialists and Call Handlers.

Bath Community
We continue to be one of Bath's largest employers, with around 500 employees based across our two offices in the city.
We regularly take part in fundraising activities for local charities, such as the Great Mortgage Sleep Out, which raised money for homeless charities, including Julian House in Bath. The team raised over £6,300, and the industry wide event raised more than £100,000 for homeless charities across the UK. We have also worked with MIND and Make a Move for the benefit of our employees and the local communities in which these charities operate.
We run monthly mufti days and cake bakes, supporting local schools and charities nominated by our staff which has enabled us to touch the lives of many Bath residents.
Founded
L&C was founded in 2000, becoming independent of Chase de Vere, an independent financial adviser. We moved into our Beazer House office in Bath and launched our first website in 2001. Winning our first award for best mortgage broker in 2002, we’ve gone from strength to strength, expanding and helping over 2 million customers with their mortgage needs.
How does Bath influence your work?
Alongside our employees, many of whom are Bath locals, we also employ other companies in the local area for contracted work, including design and technical agencies, recruitment companies, solicitors and many others.
We often sponsor Bath Life and The Chronicle’s Bath Live Awards, being nominated for and winning awards at both events over the years.
Bath has been the site of our head office for many years and is part of our history as a company. We work and socialise here, and take part in local charity events, such as stewarding the Circuit of Bath Walk, and a number of our employees participate in the Bath Half Marathon for various charities.
