Storm exists to make a global impact right here from our home in Bath. We can already boast to be saving lives, changing industries and planting a forest. Our ambition is to bring our infectious passion for innovative tech to as many individuals and global organisations as we can.

Storm co-founded CiteAb, the world's largest life science data provider. The technology we built, combined with the success of CiteAb means we are currently saving the life science industry an estimated $1 billion a year – saving countless lives in the process.
We co-founded one of the fastest growing e-learning platforms in the UK – iAM., iAM is specifically designed to help you with every day health and safety compliance, reporting, eLearning and more.
And closer to home, Storm are responsible for co-founding the Bath Digital Festival, an annual festival of 65+ events that highlights the brilliant tech companies across the city. As well as being a tech company, Storm is also incredibly conscious about the environment. At the beginning of 2020 we launched the Co-forest project, which aims to bring together like minded individuals and organisations to purchase and protect land, before planting trees to sequester carbon.

Our biggest triumphs come from seeing the impact our finished products have on the industry they are intended for. Whether we’re building a platform for the UK’s biggest wedding planning company or a web-app which is changing the face of the UK’s 3rd sector, we love collaborating with our clients and helping them take their company or idea to the next level.
Unlimited talent
Storm employs a wealth of talent. Whilst we are a small team, we are certainly mighty. Storm operates with a flat structure meaning individuals are in charge of managing their workload.
Despite everyone having their specific role within the company, the developers collaborate effectively with the creative team to ensure our clients project really is a dream come true. All of this is brilliantly coordinated by our in house project manager then promoted by marketing. Collaboration with clients and with one another is the key to Storm’s success.
Whilst we believe our team is awesome, there is still a large pool of talent out there. We have invested in some exceptional people with disruptive ideas and our global impact has been far greater as a result of this.

Bath Community
Events – Storm has supported and sponsored many local events over the years. This includes, but is not limited to; 8 Bath Digital Festivals, countless awards celebrating local businesses, networking opportunities and more.
Innovation starts at home – We have worked with local independent businesses to give them a digital platform. These companies have been able to keep their Bath roots whilst reaching new customers on a national and international scale.
Support for students – In 2019 Storm launched its first two week tech accelerator. We hosted three university students who were in the early stages of creating an online business. The accelerator gave them the opportunity to explore their idea further, challenge their current concept and the knowledge of how to build their project. A year on and the students have launched their company Unirent, a platform for students to find accommodation that fits their needs. We are now supporting the Bath Entrepreneurs spin off ‘Acceler8’. Acceler8 helps students bring their idea to life by providing them with access to resources, mentorship, equity-free funding and our network of investors. Go Green - Our first Co-forest plot will be based just outside of Bath. We will be encouraging businesses and individuals to get involved in planting their trees as a team building activity that also does wonders for the environment.
Our history
Fresh out of Bath University, lifelong best friends David and Adam decided to launch a tech consultancy as a gap year project. Fortunately for David and Adam, their gap year has lasted for eleven - and they’re still counting! Storm was founded in 2009 to provide technical advice and solutions for individuals and companies who had spotted an opportunity, and needed a tech partner to turn it into a reality.
How does Bath influence your work?
Education – Storm is fortunate to have close ties to the University of Bath. Being able to mentor students, help them adapt their ideas and turn them into operating and profitable businesses has been incredibly rewarding. We are always open to discussing an idea that a student has.
Networking & Collaboration – Bath is full of amazing businesses and ambitious individuals. We have met many of our clients at events in the city.
Work Life Balance – There is so much to do in this small city that it encourages a work life balance so everyone gets to enjoy what Bath and the surrounding countryside has to offer.
