Unlimited ambition

We exist to promote the emergence of a Good Economy, one that works for everyone, both in the United Kingdom and around the world. We do this by partnering with clients and stakeholders to define, measure, evaluate and report on impact investments that make a positive contribution to sustainable development.

While the climate crisis, quite rightly, makes headlines we believe that there is an equally all-pervasive threat in the social crisis.

Our research shows that by adopting a place-based impact investment approach real change can be achieved. We share this knowledge with clients and partners in order to build out the three pillars of a Good Economy - Ecological Sustainability, Essentials for Everyday Living and Economic Dynamism.

Unlimited innovation

As the UK’s leading, independent social impact advisory firm, we are at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market. The Good Economy Partnership has become the ‘go to’ provider for private capital investors who are committed to making a positive social impact.

Our work on the establishment of the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing and our highly acclaimed thought leadership pieces such as the Place Based Impact Investing (PBII) White Paper and the Equity Impact Reporting Project, have solidified our position as leaders in the social impact space.

Unlimited potential

TGE has experienced huge growth since it was founded in 2015 and is currently comprised of four divisions:

  • Impact Services

  • Impact Assured

  • PBII Strategy Consultancy

  • PBII Network

We have an impressive and diverse client list including some of the biggest names in the UK and impact investment market, as well as leading local government pension funds. We are also proud to work with the Scottish Government, numerous local councils, and NGOs such as Creative England and the Community Land Trust Network.

Unlimited talent

TGE’s purpose-led vision attracts some of the brightest minds in the industry. While we are still a small team, we are a mighty team and regularly get our London and Bath offices together for work and play. We pride ourselves on our progressive outlook and support our team with professional development opportunities, regularly hosting internal learning sessions on topics related to our industry. We also offer a placement to students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bath University.

We exist to promote the emergence of a Good Economy, one that works for everyone, both in the United Kingdom and around the world. We do this by partnering with clients and stakeholders to define, measure, evaluate and report on impact investments that make a positive contribution to sustainable development.

Bath Community

Founded in Bath by long time Bathonians, Sarah Forster and Mark Hepworth, TGE has deep roots in the Bath community. The company co-authored the report Bath Beyond 2020: Creating a Resilient Economy Together with the Institute for Policy Research, Bath University and is actively working with local stakeholders to find solutions for affordable housing in Bath through its PBII Innovation Lab. In addition, Mark is a member of the Bath University Court, was a keynote speaker at the Bath Inequalities Summit, and as former CEO of GeoEconomics, published an important report on the Foxhill estate in Combe Down.

TGE also prides itself on its long standing relationships with local suppliers of IT, website and accountancy services, and supports various charitable initiatives including the annual Boules event. We also make a point of supporting local businesses and buying local when hosting events and meetings. Our favourite coffee shop is Chandos Deli and the team can often be found at the Pig and Fiddle on a Friday afternoon.

How does Bath influence your work?

Our Bath office is based in the beautiful, historic Miles Buildings just below the Assembly Rooms which means that we all have to walk or cycle to the office from the train or bus. We are therefore all always out and about in Bath, participating in the daily bustle of the city. While we love the energy and history of the city, it is also a daily reminder to us of the huge social and spatial inequalities in the UK which drives us to work even harder to bring about change through Place Based Impact Investment.

Where are you based?
